Illustration has always been a passion of mine, and is something I take great satisfaction in doing. Whether it be logos or character designs, I will never skip out on an opportunity to pull the pen and get to work.
Whether it be design or art, the goal always remains the same: communicate an idea. Be it web design, printed media, or online advertising, I strive to create layouts that will perfectly communicate an idea to its target audience.
My name is Thomas Burton, and I am a student Graphic Designer currently studying at Long Island University Post. Currently, I am in my Junior year, and will be graduating in June of 2024. I started my Graphic Design Journey in high school when I started to teach myself Adobe Photoshop, and later taking electives to further my understanding of the program. Around this time, I also began to develop my illustration skills, taking fine-arts-based drawing courses, as well as drawing in my free time. This passion would carry over to my time in university, as I am currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Digital Art and Design. During my time as a university student, I have grown familiar with programs such as Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver, XD, and Maya. My strengths are in my illustration and layout abilities, as seen in my portfolio. Currently, I am open to doing freelance work, however, once I graduate, I will be ready to work as a Graphic Design full time.
